Marcoola Beach
Named for its location almost exactly midway between Maroochydore and Coolum, Marcoola boasts quiet, uncrowded beaches perfectly suited to serious surfers & avid beach-walkers. Private, secluded banks serve up a surfer's dream and a 3.5 km walk west of Marcoola Beach will deliver you to the base of Coolum Mountain. The trek to the top is challenging, but the view is definitely worth it. Fishing in Marcoola is a breeze with plenty of Flathead, Dart and Bream to be caught in summer and Taylor abounds in the cooler winter evenings.
A short drive north of Marcoola you will find Noosa, one of Queensland's most sophisticated locales. Spend the morning browsing the gorgeous boutiques and then indulge in an alfresco lunch at one of the many beachside restaurants and cafes or take a short drive south to explore Mooloolaba and Caloundra. Alternatively, you may like to stay put and soak up the sun on one of Marcoola's bare, pristine beaches. If you are looking to escape the crowds of Noosa, Maroochydore and Coolum beaches, the peace and relaxation of Marcoola is for you!
